The battery box features a four-corner fastening system and captive lid for easy installation, large cable entry holes for heavy-gauge wires, full-flow ventilation for releasing battery gases, and a large battery acid reservoir. This ensures that the battery is kept safe, limiting water entry, effectively collecting battery acid, allowing adequate ventilation, and protecting against accidental contact of battery terminals.

Certified and tested to meet United States Coast Guard (USCG) Code of Federal Regulations 183.420 and American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) E-10.7 specifications, the HM484 Dual 8D Commercial Battery Box is designed for rugged environments.
